The Red Island

This gorgeous kitchen on Camano Island is the quite the site to behold. The island is the centerpiece, and the red paint adds excellent contrast to the offwhite cabinets. The light distressing and dark glaze help it stand out. By eliminating the toe kick and adding decorative posts on each end it gives it the look of a furniture piece.  

Custom Hood Vent

With just a small amount of beadboard, this hood vent has a touch of farmhouse. The light green tile backsplash contrasts well the with offwhite paint of the cabinets. 

Wood Tops and Floating Shelves

Its hard to tell just by looking but the countertops are made from 2×6 fir. Who knew that framing lumber could make such a beautiful countertop? The natural walnut floating shelves leave plenty of room for decorations and bring character to the coffee bar.
