This job was not without its fair share of gingerbread. Inset style with custom finished ends and little room for floating shelves. They eliminated the existing peninsula and opened the kitchen up significantly. The black granite countertops bring just the right amount of contrast to tie in the floors and hardware. The floating shelves give the perfect opportunity to keep the decorations fresh. Right now they are part of the cocoa bar, but the decor will change regularly throughout the year allowing for some great Instagram shots.
